VIDEO OF THE WEEK: Within Without is a new permanant fixture at the National Gallery of Australia in Canberra. Jamie Turrell has created this amazing structure inspired by and engineered to showcase something we may take for granted sometimes: light. Check the VIDEO OUT HERE, which has an interview with Turrell and snippets from this amazing installation.

New Works is the latest exhibition by Mimi Kelly and your REASON TO GET OUT OF BED. Merging mild gore and fashion photography with a pornographic twist best describes these curious images. They are on show at GrantPirrie (88 George St, Redfern) and its FREE! Dan Freene has stepped in as photographer while Kelly herself is the subject in these images that stick in your mind. But why do they? Disgust? Arousal? Confusion? Confrontation? To each his own...

A little something extra... We all know Bjork is a busy little thing, and her latest project with the animation Moomins and the Comet Chase is another something she's whipped up in the last few months. Having written The Comet Song for one of the sequences in the short. the track was released on iTunes today, and as usual all proceeds go to a charity, UNICEF.
