The Building Bridges FestivalFriday the 18th May will mark 20 long years of Mandatory Detention in Australia. To support refugee rights, some of Australia's finest musicians, artists and activists will come together to perform for one night only at the Building Bridges Festival. The festival which is being presented by the Refugee Action Coalition and will feature bands like the Herd, Watussi, Dog Trumpet, Mohsen Soltani, ROSiE as well as stalls, video projections, a host of special guests and more. The night kicks off at 6pm at the Standard in Taylor Square, Darlinghurst and FBi is helping spread the word by giving away double passes to supporters of great music and refugee rights. Buffalo GirlsNow in its fifth year, Human Rights Arts and Film Festival continues to provide a shared space for artists, human rights organisations and the Australian public to unite, celebrate and contribute to social change. The festival begins in Melbourne and then tours the rest of the country over a three week period exhibiting work from directors, animators and activists. The Sydney leg begins on the 29th of May and runs until the 1st of June. To celebrate FBi is giving away double passes to 'Buffalo Girls' a documentary which follows the lives of kids embroiled in the controversial world of underground child-boxing in Thailand.
