Saturday Night at the Metro was once again an amazing experience as I witnessed some of the best hip-hop acts of the moment, Scribe. His Crusading Stand Up Tour brought to Sydney New Zealand's finest hip hop acts for the first time ever. After Friday nights sell out show, the boy's from New Zealand ripped it up to an eager crowd that could not of been far from the same quality as the night before.

The Stand Up Tour consisted of New Zealand's Savage and Mareko of the Deceptikonz, Con Psy and Forty One from Frontline, Dj D Form, P Money and the "main man" Scribe. Over the past 12 months since the release of his killer debut single "Not Many" the 23yr Old Kiwi has been Crusading his unique style of Rhymes and Hip Hop around New Zealand and Australia, to an ever growing and passionate fan base, which was seen by the turn out to his Friday and Saturday night shows.

Upon entering the Metro the atmosphere was electric, whilst the crowd, still growing, spread about the theatre. Eager fans were jumping and bouncing around to the wicked beats that Dj D Form had to offer, whilst the unique and crowd interactive rhymes and beats of Con Psy and Forty One got the crowd pumped. The crowd seemed ready to burst when "The Crusader" Scribe took the Stage, and P Money took to the Decks.

The crowd at the Metro, being a conglomerate of Aussies, Kiwi's, and Aussie Kiwi's, burst into cheers and whistles, one hand in the air and jumping up and down as their new hip hop hero's took to the stage. Then the onslaught of phat beats, wicked rhymes and freestyling began. On the smoky stage Scribe, wearing a black hoodie, over the top of a baseball cap, took to the front as it was his own, taking complete control; Whilst P Money at the back stood above on his raised platform behind his decks like an Emperor addressing his people.

The highly energetic show opened with Scribe addressing the crowd, g'ing us up for what was to be a killer show. In true rapper style he opened by busting out a freestyle which kick-started into the first track. Bouncing around the stage he rapped to the crowd in his own unique style, with P Money up back bringing out the big beats that got the crowd jumping. The party had started and the crowd was loving it. The second track was where the money was at, "Not Many" his debut single and most well known song took the night up even another notch and from here on in, no one was going to escape his wrath.

Scribe's unique, smooth style of rap and free styling along with his genuine positive attitude made for an inspiring show that oozed an awesome vibe. His interaction with the crowd (g'ing us up and getting us involved with the songs) and dedications to his support and fans, especially "the Ladies!" Made the night even more satisfying. Let's not forget the "Man behind the Man" P Money the driving force of all those super Phat beats and awe inspiring scratching.

As "The Crusader" left the stage following his last track "Stand Up" the crowd stood there Cheering and whistling, then stamping, bringing Scribe, P Money and two other rappers back out onto the Stage for the en chore. "Not Many" was the song, having already played it earlier in the night, they made this version much cooler, with the other rappers joining in for verses and chorus. All up the night was wicked, I had a killer time, as did everyone else I witnessed there. His set wasn't very long but was made up for by the quality of the show. It was also good to see a fresh style of hip-hop reach the Aussie shores!
