Surf around a little and you'll find heaps of artists, record labels and weblogs offering legal MP3 downloads - all designed to give you a taster of some new music. If you like your free sampler, you go and buy the album. Simple.
So next time someone tells you digital downloads are a pox on music, direct them right here! This is where we give you a free MP3 sampler of some of SYDNEY's finest! If you like what you hear, get to record store and get some more.
WANT TO SUBMIT YOUR OWN MUSIC? If you're a Sydney artist, band or producer (signed or unsigned) we want to hear from you. Select a track that you think best represents your music and that you're happy for FBi members to download at no charge. The only proviso is that you must host the mp3 file yourself (either on your own web site or your label's site etc). Email us a link to the file (NOT the mp3!) with some bio info and a photo to members@fbi.org.au, or drop a CD in the post to FBi ONLINE, PO BOX 1962, STRAWBERRY HILLS, NSW 2012. |

| MARK DYNAMIX
| | With 14 years experience in Australia's music industry, Mark certainly knows how to rock a crowd. He travels far and wide each weekend to an exhaustive schedule, dishing out solid DJ sets for masses of clubbers around the country. Sometimes tagged "Ministry's boy down under", other times "Australia's hardest working DJ"; whatever the case, with a massive twenty high profile mix CDs under his belt since 1994 with ten of them being for Ministry Of Sound, he sure has been busy.
Mark describes his style as punk-house; a fusion of electroclash, funk and tech-house styles. In reality the possibilities are far greater than that - anyone who has been a fan of Mark's knows that his sets are always varied and feature new and interesting combinations of styles, alongside innovative sampling and scratching.. |

| WREN
| | "Katy [Wren] McNamara is one of this country's finest vocal talents."
Sarah Wilco, THE DRUM MEDIA.
Having written & recorded with various highly regarded outfits over the past five years, such as Jimmy Little, The Whitlams & popular dance&beats band; Erratic, solo singer-songwriter Katy [Wren] McNamara, takes audiences on an exsqisite, mesmerising journey as the ethereal sentiment & honesty of expression in her music shines through. In Wren's music, you can hear traces of KD Lang, Nick Drake, Norah Jones, & the rustic feeling which haunts Beck's Sea Change album. Wren's debut EP: 'Letters Unsent', was created with the intent of carrying listeners away to a peaceful world evoking emotional memories of dusty mornings, rainy afternoons & starry nights especially with track 2; 'All Rivers Lead To This'. |
